The Rights of Spouses - In the Light of Hadith

THE RIGHTS OF SPOUSES

Islam places great importance on marriage. Much is said on this topic in the Quran and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). We have also included many verses and even more hadiths on this topic in our thesis, as far as possible.

In the hadiths, we have attempted to analyze the duties and obligations between spouses. Following the life of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), we have mentioned the points that Muslims must pay attention to in their family life.

Our thesis consists of an introduction and two chapters. In the introduction, we addressed the topic "Islam's View of the Family and Marriage." We attempted to describe the family life of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his treatment of his wives.

In the first chapter, we have explained in the Hadith what duties and obligations a man has towards his wife.

In the second chapter we tried to provide information about the duties and obligations that a woman has towards her husband.

Our intention is to explain what a family model should be in the light of the hadith and to explain how spouses should treat each other.
